You have three options to get to the race venue
With our registration centre now located at the Overseas Passenger Terminal (OPT), it is now much easier to take public transport to the event. We encourage all competitors to take a close look at the public transport options as parking in the CBD is very difficult (Opera House car park is the only parking station open early on Sunday – fees apply) and considerable road closures and disruptions occurring on any Sunday by far the best option on event day – Sunday, 9 July 2017 is public transport.
Information regarding road closures for Sunday 9 July can be found below.
Please note that there will be additional road closures and re-directions due to the amount of construction currently being done in Sydney’s CBD and not just closures for this event.
Circular Quay station is the closest train station to the start/finish area. Wynyard station is also nearby, for train lines which do not access Circular Quay station.
There will be trackwork occurring on Sun 9 July
There is trackwork occurring on two of the six tracks between Strathfield and Redfern. Trains will continue to operate but will travel a little slower and to a slightly amended timetable. Trackwork will also take place between Bomaderry and Wollongong however this will have no impact.
Please visit Transport Sydney Trains for any trackwork updates.
Normal Sunday timetable and set down points should apply during event day, with the closest bus terminals being at Alfred and Carrington Streets.
